When the compressor starts it some times goes foward then goes backwards. Could the phase moniter change the direction for a few seconds. Anything on scroll would help.

Some models (without prevention of this occurrence) could go backwards only when power is cut off for short periods of time until pressures are equalized in compressor.

Check your motor contactor!

scrolls have a internal non return valve which is a safety because when the compressor stops the discharge pressure does,nt back spin the scrolls ,it only spins back for a second ,until the pressures equilized, which is normal

Some older Maneurops where spinning backwards when de-energized.

If it is not a millenium compressor, add a 5 minute time delay.

hi there a phase monitor is as only a monitor and will not cause a phase change only monitor it and warn u or stop your system when needed
u should go to the copeland site or maneroupe they have a nice "show " and explanation how a scroll works.
