Could someone tell me where to download or possibly send me the manual for the following compressor?

Howden MK1 WRV/ 255/ 16536/ 069.

The compressor is roughly 25 years old, so I've been told.

Thanks

Hi CanadianIce!

I can send you the manual monday, have it in my office. Just PM me your e-mail adress.

Just did an annual inspection on a 255 MK 1 last week. This was made in 1971 and is still running.....
If you send me the serial number i can check when it was made. Howden made the MK 1 from 66-67 i think, maybe earlier.......

Hi CanadianIce,
For a plan "B ", I have one as well.
The Howden Mk 1 WRV is a great compressor, will run for decades, simple to work on, uncomplicated.

You have managed to attract assistance from many good engineers here Ice.

Follow my link and there is a good manual listed.
Sadly I think it's for a later model? (Poss a Mk4)
Maybe so of the afore mentioned guys could advise?
Anyway I am sure that a lot of the info will be back-wards compatible.
Cheers and good luck Grizzly
PS if anyone has a spare copy of the earlier manual.
Could I scrounge a copy?

Hi

like Magoo says they are very simple to work on. The important things are how to measure and set the different clearances correct. The manual i have are for the MK 5-6 but is no problem to use for the MK 1. The given clearances in this manual are the same as for the MK 1.

Good Morning

Thanks again for all the information. Josip emailed a copy to me and I downloaded the manual from the link Grizzly posted. As you have stated the information hasn't changed any so I'm ready to go to work on it.
These machines look to be quite simple to work on as compared to a Frick or a Dunham Bush.

Cheers

Hi, Your compressor was manufactured in May 1970, shipped to the US in June 1970, and was originally packed by the then Lewis Refrigeration. We still overhaul units much older than this, 39 years is just mature.
