I've reinstalled a Daikin multi RMX140JZVMB which another company had previously removed.

I've never worked on one of these units but there are 3 indoors Ftxd71jv18, ftxd60jv18 and a ftxd25jv18 and thery are all conneced to a BP box Bpmk928b43 ( a bit like mitsubishi's BC box)

However all the solonoids on the BP box seem to be closed so i can't pressure test or vac out until they are open.

How do i get them to open? I tried ringing daikin today but i was on hold for 20mins.

Also since there is no manual i don't know how much additional i will need, i've tried looking for the manual but found nothing in the uk.

Not sure about the specific product, but I have used a permenant cylendrical magnet to open many chiller solanoids for the same purpose. You should be able to pruchace on or two from the local refrigeration supplier.

The indoor valaves are EEV's so magnets won't open them.

When you apply power, the indoor eev's are pulsed shut. The best way to do it on a re-install is to power up and do a pump down by pressing SW7, but don't close the liquid service valve. This will open all of the indoor eev's to 450pulses, enough to allow system evacuation.

After 5 minutes, switch off the power and the valves will then stay open for as long as you want.

The branch piping lengths and charge amounts are stated at the bottom of the attached pdf sheet for your model

See the attached pdf.

Marc, if you want the whole manual, send me an e-mail address by pm
