Read/unread tick

I propose that in new posts screen is available "mark read" tick for messages which are not of interest for member who search new threads in this way. Like in yahoo mail:

Why not just click on "go to first unread post" button ?

If you go to the top right under "Private Messages" you will see a link named " New Posts". After you get done reading or reviewing a thread, click on the "New Posts" link and it does the same thing you are asking for I believe.

Nope, that is not what I suggest.
I wanted option to mark read message without reading or reviewing it. Just reading subject and section and option to mark read without actually reading/reviewing it.

For example, now I have 90 unread messages and I want to select 70 of them as read without actually reading them, simply by reading their title. Then I want to read and review rest of them in full manner.

I'm doing the same .. like this...

first go to New Posts - under Private messages...

then go to the Forum... column on the right side and then click .... to Domestic ... Air conditioning....CPU Overclockers... Tools and calculators ... etc ..

open complete unread posts under certain Forum i.e.Threads in Forum : Tools and Calculators....

then on the same page go to Forum Tools .... click to open ... go down to the second line .... Mark this forum read..... quite fast .... at least for me...

Sorry, I miss that you want to keep some posts to read later ... maybe some possibility to subscribe to them ... I am not sure about some other way, maybe Dez can help .... but your idea is quite good ...
