Hello ,

I have two Samsung AQV12VBAN units and i would like to extend the cables of the in door temperature sensor so the unit can sense the temperature at 1,5 meters high.

Is it a difficult job ? do i have to dismount the unit in order to do it properly ?

yes this can be done and is quite simple, the return air sensor is located top right under the glass frontage, from memory these have an throw of 8m3/min so be careful to not over work the system

see this link for tips

always isolate and tag electrical source before under taking this kind of work

Forgot to say that i am not an electrician or ref. technician :D

The idea is to unscrew the old sensor (which has a short cable) , get it out of the unit , go to a specialty a/c shop and buy an identical sensor with longer cable which i will screw it back in place.

Is this possible to be done by me ? I guess that a new longer sensor would not cost more than 10 euro... The problem is that i can't see where the existing sensor cable is plugged in (not enough space to check and play).
