It does depend on its aplication.

Do you want

Domestic, commercial or industrial?

Do you want

Hermetic, semihermetic or open drive?

Do you want

Scroll, screw, recipricating, vane, centrifuge, or roller?

Do you want

Splash oil feed or forced oil?


Its like compareing bikes, cars, vans, trucks and lorries.

Me personaly love Danfoss (domestic) Copeland (commercial) and J&E Hall (industrial)

Cheap compressor or expensive one? for me J&E Hall for industrial & copeland,vitzer for commercial.

Commercial :COPELAND

INDUSTRIAL:VILTER,MYCOM.

That"s my personal choice,had work on the above compresors for almost two decades.

prestcold and danfoss would be my votes.

I'm not an expert but I like my old Bitzer compressors from Germany. They're easy for me to repair and rebuild and they are reliable. Most of my units have Brooks motors which are English. It's a unlikely combination but it works.
