Looking for an apprenticeship in Scotland

I have decided this is the career I want to pursue.

Anyone have any info on where to find any useful information?

What type of information are you looking for?

With regards to trying to get into the industry, send your CV off to as many companies in your area, hopefully one or two will reply but i know of a few people that are trying to get a job in Air Con/refrigeration and are finding it very difficult even after offering to work for free.

This is tough. Tried around 20 companies, and zero luck. However, a few said they would keep my CV on file and get back if they were recruiting.

Anyone have the similar problem?
Can you do the training at college without an apprenticeship?
