10kw old ducted spit system indoor unit in attic, feeding severeal rooms duct and return air ... but this system has little motors on 8 inch outlet air duct connecters with thin wires going back to an electronics box on the internal unit. I assume these are electoniically con trolled dampers. The name on the unit is Tadmor ezm400.
Please can anyone give me an overview how the air restricing system works, or if I can remove the autorestricting duct couplers without upsetting the system. The problem is with 2 of the rooms, one is freexing (and has a thermostat in the room) the other is warm (and doesnt have a thermostat in the room) I think the motor/electronics has failed with the cold room damper fully open and the warm room closed.
