I have an eliwell controller ID COOL series, problem is on the 240v supply in to the controller i am getting 240v out of the neutral, controller works but puts 240v accross all neutrals on the cabinet disabling compressor etc, controller is brand new, anyone else had similar problems

Hi Northdude.
Have you tried swapping Terminals 6 and 7 over?

Sounds like you've got a broken neutral. Work backwards from the neutral at the power supply until you find the break - its probably a loose connection somewhere.

yes tried swapping them over and still getting live down neutral. I disconnected my neutral off the controller so all i had was the live in, i tested the neutral terminal on the back of the controller and it had 240v on it so it must be the controller. Just seems strange

You have a floating neutral. Try to find a fixed neutral point and connect all your neutral wiring to this point.
