Hello :D, this is my first post and i don t know if this is the place for this thread but here goes:

I have Eliwell ID971 (that's what it says on it) but the data from him match ID971LX witch has more configuration and stuff.

I can t seem to get it to defrost on a specific interval (time) , for example i want the compressor to run for 1 houre and then stop , and when it stops the defrost process enters for 30. (and on and on)...... sounds simple i know.

can someone who has used controllers from eliwell tell me exactly what change in parameters should i do to do this .

btw im using only one probe to show temperature (and i want the hole cycle NOT to be influenced by probe or temperature).

i hope i made myself clear :) sry for any english mistakes ,tnx.

Welcome spark2funny.

Download the manual via the link. I have supplied for you.

Take note of parameters dof, dbi, dit, dct and dEt.

These are the main ones applying to defrost control.
There are others listed so have a good read.
I may be wrong but I am not sure you can apply the number of defrosts you require?
As I think there is a maximum number within a 24hr period.

Lastly don't for get to power down and then back on!
This registers the new settings.
Good luck Grizzly.
Incidently! Why so frequent a defrost time?
What are you actually trying to acheive?

Change it to ID974, it will be easier to program it.

ID971 is not a proper freezer controller, there is no fan control.

@Grizzly :
is not the manual problem , don't u think i googled it before i posted here : ) , like i just said , the manual for id971 doesn t match what i have , it only match id971LX witch in fact has like i sayd more things to tweak , it doesn t say LX on mine but lets say it is! ,

ok then back to the real problem : still not able to program it to run like a timer/clock whatever you want , maybe it isan't posible with id971/id971LX to do this ?!...

PS: im doing electric defrost.

Q: why are you doing this so often?
A: i just gave an example , the only thing i want is to run, stop and defrost, at some specific times(cycle).

Are you always so rude when someone Innocently tries to help!

I never accused you of not searching for the info.
I simply supplied you with a manual.
That has the explainations of each setting.
IS THAT NOT WHAT YOU ASKED FOR IN YOUR ORIGINAL POST?

Incidently the frequency of defrost that you gave as an example is unusual.
That's why most of us that posted refered to it.

Your second reply makes much more sence, but don't
critisise someone who misunderstands a post.
Or doesn't give the answer you wanted.
After all they are reading it without your prior knowledge.
As I say I was trying to help, maybe I did get it wrong.
But at least I was trying to help!

135 is the over riding password... 971 does not all you to defrost at a particular time (no built in time clock) but as grizzly said defrost inter time will aloow you to select 1hr 2 hr etc
the lx is the controller suitable for the televis monitoring system but the workings are the exact same
