Hi all,

Currently we have a VRV3 system ducted to a Fan Filter Unit.

We are having problems to control the Humidity as it will flutuate from 50%-100%. Epected result should be maintain at 55% +/- 5

Understand from the other post listed here is that we can introduce another system to treat the fresh air before supplying to the FCU.

Our issue on site here is very limited space constraint.

Can any members here help me to think of a solution??

Are you not recirculating the air ? If the fresh air is being taken in, no recirculation, I imagine how powerful should be dehumidifiers - in the climate of South Asia.

In order to get the humidity you want, the air leaving the evaporator coil must be 11K colder than the room air.

The primary function of air conditioning 'split' or 'vrv/vrf' systems is to control temperature, not to control humidity. Humidity control on these systems is a function of temperature control.

Hi Gary, thanks for the enlightenment. But in my current condition i'm receiving temperature at 8.2 degree celcius off coil and the ambient temperature at 18-22 degree celcius.

With the VRV in place and a haywire humidity. Can you advise perhaps another system to improvised on my humidity?

A dehumidifier maybe?

8.2C @ 100%RH will warm up to 19.2C @ 50%RH, and the humidity will be even lower at higher temps... so what's the problem?

You mention a target humidity of 55%, but this is meaningless without a target temperature.
