Hi,

I have a Hotpoint fridge, which is about 3 years old, but I got it second hand, so, no warranty!

Anyway, we noticed we were getting constant problems with water turning to thick ice under the salad compartments and all our veg getting frozen.

I tried to clear the drainage hole, which was blocked with thick ice. I managed to clear it and hoped that we be the end of it. However, its still freezing veg and salad. Even on the warmest setting a thermometer I left inside is reading 2 degrees, and is reading a low of minus 4!!

Any ideas? Is there a easily replaceable thermostat, or is it a big job?

Cheers for any help guys!

check the fan in freezer is working, then replace the thermal fuse as they fail quite often

I take it I can just do a continuity test on the leads of the old one to check if its ok?
