I have today thought about registering on the REFCOM site but one thing stopped me, my credit card details. Nothing wrong with my credit card but the site itself, no mention anywhere that this was a secure payment gateway or even PCI compliant, no padlock symbol on the browser either.

so who is now operating illegally, if they are capturing the data manually by paper then their up the crapper.

Just thought i'd mention it before you all go typing in your card details.

We did it yesterday, however one engineer forgot his certificate so we just put in another engineers number twice and Bob's your Uncle -we're registered ;-)

Wonder if they will notice before we get round to changing it..

Go to the Refcom website and check to see if you are on the list. With a little care you should be able to download and print the certificate. It saves waiting for the "original" to arrive.
We have just received our first request to provide the registration certificate to one of our customers, so at least one company is aware of the requirements.

all the wholesalers up here will not sell you any refrigerant unless you are refcom registered.

And as long as you keep your horses well fed you can tip your hat, dig in your heals and shout YEEEHARRRRR as your ride off to the next job?

We all think its a joke, its definately a pain in the ass but its also LAW. If your take yourself seriously then you would do this.
