What is the thermal conductivity in W/mK of the following sheet metal at 45 deg C temperature.

Cold Rolled Steel SPCEN - IF

%C 0.06
%Mn 0.035
%S 0.025
%P 0.025
Rest is Fe

Standard : EN10130 - FeP05

I Googled and also checked Design Books. Only Mechanical Properties are available everywhere. Thermal conductivity is not available.

Kindly help me giveing the values or reference if any.

Its about 60 W/mK, if I remember. But this value is for carbon steel, of course it can have small variations depending of the alloy elements and the thermal treatment. If its a stainless steel with nickel and cromium it will down that value so much as much the concentration of these elements.

I hope it could help

Thanks. I have two values as a result of Google search.

One 51.9 W/m K (for Low Carbon Cold Rolled Steel)
The other one 93.0 W/m K ( for Low Carbon Steel - IF Grade)

Thats why i wanted to clarify. But the values are too dispersed.

Anyhow thanks for that. I will go with 51.9
