stand by unit

hi all, this is my first post, i just find this forum and i all ready have a question, i`m buying a used 2002 freightliner container truck with a thermo king MD-II SR unit with no stand by electric, but i need stand by, can a stand by system be added to the unit, or i better off searching for a truck with a stand by all ready installed
i do not know if it is worth the treble, any input will be appreciated, thanks....GUS..

not sure about the TK's but I did a quote for the same thing on a carrier for about $6,000. Not worth it, keep looking until you find one with stand by
