Hello,

my english is very bad, sorry for that.

I have installed a Samsung wall unit AQV09ASAN with outdoor unit AQV09ASAX.
It's a inverter with R410a.

Sometimes at power on it showes E4 on the Display.

The manyfold says its all right but i think a little bit more R410a is required.

Is the meaning of E4 to little Refrigrant ?

Can someone give me the error code list, please?

As PM or here, thanks !!

is the system remote hard wired or infer red?

iam sure the fault should be three digit ie e454 can you check this please

I thought it would show E4 and temperature in change because the display has only two digits.
When the air conditioner display error again, I write here now.

Thank you very much for help!

You seem to have the error list.
Can you please send them to me?
That would be super sweet

I hate R410a inverter....

what should the manyfold show on the highpressureside under full load cooling?

thanks for help!

Hmm,

It's worse than that I'm afraid.

On modern (inverter driven) splits, pressure readings (on their own) are pretty much useless.

The system will not only speed the compressor up or down in order to maintain the pressures, it will also open or close various bypass valves and EEV(s).

Unfortunately the only Samsung error codes I managed to find refers to other model #s.
But there seems to be a trend of E4 meaning high discharge temperature or pressure.

So, some questions
-Are you confident this system were installed using good engineering practices?
-Is there any LEDs flashing on the front of the indoor unit when the fault happens?
-Is the system running at all?
-Why do you think that the system needs more refrigerant?

Normally in cases like this your best option is to reclaim the system, pull a deep vacuum on it and then recharge it with fresh refrigerant by weight as per the manufacturer's recommendations.

Good luck and don't forget to let us know how you get on with it.

In coolingmode Errorcode E4 - 69 is blinking.

What means this?

Might be a good idea to slip a OFN Pressure Test in between the 'reclaim' and the 'deep vacuum' eh Viking?

What means PCB?

What means PCB?

A printed circuit board, or PCB, is used to mechanically support and electrically connect electronic components (http://www.refrigeration-engineer.com/wiki/Electronic_component) using conductive (http://www.refrigeration-engineer.com/wiki/Conductor_(material)) pathways, or traces (http://www.refrigeration-engineer.com/wiki/Signal_trace), etched (http://www.refrigeration-engineer.com/wiki/Industrial_etching) from copper sheets laminated (http://www.refrigeration-engineer.com/wiki/Laminated) onto a non-conductive substrate. It is also referred to as printed wiring board (PWB) or etched wiring board. A PCB populated with electronic components is a printed circuit assembly (PCA), also known as a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA).
PCBs are rugged, inexpensive, and can be highly reliable. They require much more layout effort and higher initial cost than either wire-wrapped (http://www.refrigeration-engineer.com/wiki/Wire_wrap) or point-to-point constructed (http://www.refrigeration-engineer.com/wiki/Point-to-point_construction) circuits, but are much cheaper and faster for high-volume production. Much of the electronics industry's PCB design, assembly, and quality control needs are set by standards that are published by the IPC (http://www.refrigeration-engineer.com/wiki/IPC_(electronics)) organization.

Hello!

Thank you very much.

Okay PCB is a printed circuit board.

E469 Current sensor error..

from memory outdoor PCB or condenser fan motor..

The Installation is brand new (1 Month) running first about 40hrs and the condenser Fan is running.

memory outdoor PCB... means the board is damaged or what? Or the PCB reports a error?

Thanks alot!

Hello, I also have this error!

I have just installed the same split airco over here in the Netherlands.

Airco worked fine for 2 days, but now it is realy hot weather and it crashes wit error e4 ... display changes ... 67.

Before it crashes, I hear the compressor running and I feal a little fresh air from the indoor unit and then the outdoor unit stops running. Starts for a second run making alot of noise almost like a thunder storm, something like klabang klabang, then indoor unit beeps and gives e4 69.

What could it be? what can we do to fix it? Or what can my 'deep vacuum' provider do?

Or should I call Samsung  ?

Thanks in advance
M

Ps. Before i forget to tell this:
I had the idea that the airco was less better cooling the last days before it crashed. Coold it be that be both have an airco unit that was not filled by default with enough gas fluid by the factory or something? Ar can it be that the gas is leaking?

Should you smell or hear that if it is the part inside your house?

How helpless, like children are we with all these inverters, converters, perverters...
(Allmost) all we know about those expensive toys : two connected with wires PCBs from which stick out few sensors.
Big corporations progress further on ....

Latest status update:

I have switched off the main power suply, waited 5 minutes and put the power on again.

Now the airco is running like a charm... for 2 days now... I hope it stays like this...

Was it an communication error between the inside/outside unit?

Hi guys! I was heaving the same problem with my Samsung Vivace AQV 09VBC (i have also a Samsung Vivace AQV 12VBC both installed at the same day) from the first day, after the first 5-6 hours of operation the air-condition just turned off and the code E4-69 was blinking on the screen. When i was pressing the off from the remote and then the on again the air-condition was fully operated again. I call the samsung service and the next day they came and change the PCB from the outdoor unit. From then (2 days now) i have no problem. I hope you can understand my bad English :(
