Hi :)

Electronic paperwork is being used alot more in our service/breakdown calls .
What do you all think about this transition,is it welcomed ?

It would be a good thing for the trees if only the office did not frigging print it all out ......... sheesh :mad:

Hi Dez, Talking about paper or people :D


Now back to the topic:-
Paperless enviornment, sounds good in theroy, very good if all departments can be linked up. Bad if system unreliable or no hard copies taken which could be working against the whole idea. Imagine this, everything downloaded to the office, worksheets, timesheets ect and the system crashes. If you don't also keep manual records then you are up the creek. :eek:

On the plus side, some companies are up to speed. handhelds link to service office so job record automaticly updates, parts automaticly ordered or reordered for van stock if you have it. Linked once again to accounts to automaticly invoiced.

If anyone gets a reliable mobile point of service system up and running they could make a mint
