Carrier phoenix advantage, out of range, Help!

I have a carrier Phoenix Advantage that I recently purchased. It's on a wreck that laid on it's side. It starts and runs good, blows cold, but the out of range light stays on and the numbers on the display keep counting down continuously, and I can't set temp. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are 3 differant controll systems used on those dinosours. Does it have a bunch of small red lights and a button for display of suc. pressure? Or possibly a more modern type would have a function button with a larger display with box temp and setpoint both displayed.

it has a display with box temp and set point under it and a key pad under the box temp/setpoint and on the right is a function list with lights beside them.

The out of range light on an Advantage will stay on until it gets in range. Are you able to access any of the unit data ie coolant temp, defrost timer. If not it appears you may need a new keypad. Is the setpoint or box temp LED lit up.

Yes I can access data. The display numbers keep counting down and I am unable to set temp.

It isn't the box temp dropping is it. Does it count down from 80 to -20 and go back to 80, if so it is probably the keypad as the advantage will roll over from -20 setpoint to 80. Sounds like maybe the down button is stuck.

Yes that is what it is doing. Do you know were to get a good used one? Cheap!

Is the lower right hand button Suction pressure or Oil pressure?

A new keypad is $291.00 There are a ton of old Advantages out there, you should be able to find one. I have one you can have for $100 plus shipping.
