Hi everyone,

Could someone please tell me how seriously an partly blockage could cause to the overall performance of an air-cond?

Say 20%-30% of the evap inlet or outlet openning (due to manually brazing for example)

What I know is that it affects the flowrate which affects the cooling perfomance. But I dont know how serious it would be.

Thanks

The reduced flowrate could affect the superheat at the compressor.

With the compressor being cooled by the returning gas then it will suffer when the gas temperature rises.

End result is terminal decline of the compressor, oil and system.

Thanks, Brian

Have you experienced how serious that kind of blockage does to the flowrate?
