They are most def. a "different" unit to work on. They are pretty user friendly, but from the experiance I have with them, we saw a ton of failed cond. motors and alot of connections burning up. Def a wild idea, being able to vary compressor speed!

they seem like a copy of the carrier scroll unit. But time will tell like all reefer units the corrosion will get to them. Maersk should have stuck to the carrier 69nt40 units as carrier finally designed a simple unit with heeps of grunt as was user friendly compared to the older units

hi jackyylz,

the big different starcool with other unit are at compressor frequency.The compressor is installed with frequency converter so frequency can increase up to 110hz with power supply 50/60hz.so the pulling down temperature will be faster.
when you check power consumption it more safe.
