Hi all
Having read the criticisms about the Hotpoint FF200EG, I am in the same position, having a freezer that froze over but now appears to be fine and a fridge that no longer cools things well enough, so that food goes off very quickly.
Currys (where I bought it from) appear to want to help but have requested that I provide an independent engineer's report containing nature of fault, probable cause, diagnostic procedures and total cost of repair.
Can anyone recommend an engineer who can do this for us? Also suggest how much this will cost?
I'm not asking for the Hotpoint engineer as they are charging £110+ and the likelihood is that the same thing will recur as it appears to be a design/product fault.
