Can i replace TCLE ALCO expansion valve with TERE type

hi guys i have Alc TCLE 20ton, refrigerant 134a can it be replaced by TERE?

and if there is any guide or tutorial about how to uderstand how to match expansion valve that would be great thx alot

Hi Msanad
The TERE is the same series valve but has a bigger nominal capacity. Are you sure the TCLE is 20 ton and not 20 kw. I have checked the Alco book and the largest capacity for a TCLE on R134a is 30 kw nominal whereas the TERE smallest nominal capacity is 55 kw.

TCL(E) series for R-134a - max at 9 tons refrigeration (pg 26 Alco book).

TER(E) series for R-134a - min at 16 tons refrigeration (pg 27 Alco book).

A mismatch, perhaps?
