Help...zanussi zert2170 stopped working & 'chemically' smell in freezer

ive a Zanussi fridge/freezer model - ZERT 2170 X
It is 3 years old and has stopped working completely and also there is a 'chemically' smell in the freezer. I noticed the smell a few hours before it stopped working and also it started to 'hum/buzz' louder than usual just prior to stopping. Any ideas?

souns like a ruptered evaporator or pipework ... You need a fridgie or have you a warranty ??

thankyou for responding. whats a 'frigie?' and no waranty has expired. does it sound like an expensive repair am i better repairing or replacing? thanx again.

Replace the fridge/freezer. Sounds like someone has been defrosting it with a knife.
If you stab something enough times it will die...........
