daikin compressor prices

I just got the shock of my life when I got quoted £1400 for JT 125 FA-YE:eek::mad:. Its only a little scroll from an RP100.

Anyone tried using a different comp. in the rp 100 chassis without a lot of modifications?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Don't suppose you've tried jammin a copeland scroll in a daikin case. It looks like it'll fit physically but there is an extra av mount(so it might need a plate mounting plate making) and the discharge and suction would be a pain.
