Looking to size an arcade for a/c. Was wondering if anyone knew the wattage of poker/fruit/slot machines was, thanks.

Base it on 230w per machine and you won't go far wrong.

so a 7.1kw for a room 6m x 7.5m x 2.5 with 20 machines and 10 people

and 12.5kw for a room 9.5mx7.5m.2.5m with 25 machines and 20 people

that ok.

I make it 11.5kW and 17.5kW using 125w/m2(rule of thumb)

Surely though you have got lighting from those hot halogen spotlights/neon tubes that these machine arcades have.

We recently put a couple of cassettes in an Arcade. We allowed 300w per gaming machine although the client advised us they only use about 150w these days. When using AC Calc to calculate, it worked out about half a KW different to 150w per sq metre rule of thumb.
Hope this helps.

I do feel it is better to oversize in these situations, for instance, they may put more machines in, they may end up getting very busy and lots of people in the arcade, plus outside ambients may be very high on the off chance that england has a good summer!
