hey fellas been to another one of our sites today with a PURY-P300YGM-A and has got 8 units on it.Now in one of the rooms they want the wall unit removing for 1 month while they change the office room into a medical store room and re do the whole room, so the wall unit has to be moved and then refitted once complete. my question is is it a case of reclaim, use flare nuts and copper bonnets to blank of the wall unit port at the bc box, then the usual pressure test, vac, and charge but now the charge will be different, and then also the comms line(M-NET)???? i spoke to mitsi on the way home and he told me that its just a case of dropping the power to the wall unit spare????then the mnet will miss that unit out on a virgin restart and carry on working with only 7 units no problem is this the case and any one eles done this before iam not doubting mitsi but i thought there was more to it than that???? thanks alot

id say more than likely it should be a case of dropping the unit which is to be moved, leave the previous unit on M-NET the same address, and change all the following units address back one address number no??

If the wall mounted unit was not part of a group of units as it is only unit in small room with its own RC then there should be no re address needed.
Just do mechanical work as you have stated.
Make temp link for the control cable Mnet daisy chain.
Then at re commission do a virgin restart.
The outdoor unit will do an electronic hand shake with all units it can find on the Mnet.
Do a calculation for the refrigerant charge of the liquid line you remove from the system & if its more than 2kg then recharge less the amount for the tube you have removed.
If less than 2kg then dont worry as the suction accumulartor is large & can cope with slight overcharge & anyway outdoor unit will tell you with overcharge fault if it sees low DSH.

If you have G50 central control it will show 6607 communication fault for the unit & RC you have removed as it will still be looking for them & will not get any reply.
In this case you can leave to report the fault untill you re install the unit & RC
or
you can delete the unit & RC at the G50 & then add them back again when the unit & RC are reconnected to the system.

Slightly off-the-wall perhaps but....

Is the unit going back in the same position after the refit?

If so, can you just break out the partitioning around the unit and lift it into the ceiling space ready to be dropped down later ??

hey fellas

Brian i wish we could,we have suggested that but they want it completely out of the way but thanks anyway. Went back today reclaimed and now they want another one moving in an office again but this time its a one way blow ceiling casette just while they do other works and regut the room and then reposition it somewere eles in the room, both these units are on their own and the wall unit is controlled by the g50A and the one way blow is by a RC+g50. thermatech when you say make temp link for mnet wot exactly? iwas told the wall unit controller would fault 6607 just as you said but that will not bother us and will prob be moved out the way ie above a ceiling so its just a case of powering down both indoor units then doing a virgin restart and hay presto????
thanks alot

adam

p.s would this not start to effect the suction line back to the compressor by removing more units??

If the indoor unit & RC is to be completely removed then you would need to do something with the Mnet control cable that is disconnected from the unit.
The outdoor unit generates the 30v dc & all remaining indoor units & RC need to be connected for communication.

To make the daisy chain to the other units complete the cable needs to be connected at the place you remove the indoor units otherwise the daisy chain is broken & communication errors for any units down line.

The G50 will just constantly report 6607 for the units & RC which have been removed until they are reconnected but the outdoor unit will run with the remaining units after VRS.
