What qualification are you looking at doing?

The qualification that the industry recognise is the City & Guilds Level 2 and 3.

You also need a refrigerant handling qualification and perhaps the brazing qualification as well.

Experience will get you most jobs but soon nobody will be able to work without a Fgas ticket.

So what qualification is ICS offering?
How much are they charging?

Finished the ICS Btec Refrigeration , Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning in January this year and just received my bit of paper. On the Btec certificate it states that the Refrigeration technology assignment is graded as H2 so that means its based on either the HND or HNC module where as all the other subjects : heating, ventilation and air con are level 3 as well as the health and safety one. Btec is issued by EDEXCEL so its a pukka qualification, though its more for the design of systems than anything else
