Can somebody please explain vrv to me?

hi there can somebody please point me in the direction of an image or animation that shows the cycle of refrigerant in a vrv system and how it works , like what happens in the branch boxes. Ive installed a few of these but i dont quite understand the concept lke how it cools and heats at the same time.
