Sounds interseting, check if system has hot gas defrost system incorporated, may be that controller has failed to continuous defrost, or possibly the reversing valve has jammed/failed in defrost position. First thing is fit a set of gauges to system and see whats going on. Both suction and high side gauges.

Is the liquid line colder after or before the dryer?

If the liquid line is cold it would suggest a blockage init somewhere.

1. What was in the liquid line/
2. Which product did you use to flush it out? ................meaning what worked for you, as there are so many/

Thanks..............
