Please help. When switdhed on the cooling element in the fridge turs hot - what can the problem be?

what sort of fridge is it.does it have hot gas defrost or electric defrost.is it stuck on defrost or is hot gas valve stuck open

possibly the valves in your cylinder are passing back, if this is a pot that mean a new compressor :o

Though it could still be cheaper than a valve plate.
