Why do you think something is wrong?

Does it go into defrost when the door is closed as well?

a container unit circulates air so quickly that most likely, depending on weather-humidity, it may be icing up quickly and forcing itself into defrost.

What the engine type? You should check defrost sensor ( evap coil sensor / DTT ). I think the defrost sensor read temperature too lower than return temp.

Hi there
some older reefer units have a air switch across the evaporator coil and some measure the split across the evaporator to initiate defrost if you supply the details of the brand we can let you:) know possible causes
thanks,modvalve

Hi ,

Maybe your cargo's heat is very high.If cargo's heat is ver hot, unit goes to defrost mode continusly. Why??You think about that:))))

Best regards.

check the defrost TC.Because of that maybe stop the defrost.

I'd still like to know why the door is open?? Is it working fine until the moment you open the door? Are you leaving the door open for 5 hours and then wondering why it's going into defrost? A few more details would help greatly to help you get this fixed.
