Could someone please give me a laymans definition of "triple point of a substance"

The triple point is the pressure and temperature where all three phases of a substance can exists, that is solid, liquid and wapour.

For water the triple point is 0,00603 atm and 0,0098 degrees Celcius. At this temperature and pressure both ice, liquid water and water wapour can exists.
