Good morning all, I am trying to find filters for an "A" type evaporator. I just moved into a mobil home that has the filters on the evaporator. I checked the filters and found that they were almost plugged and not the correct size. I measured the opening and found that the dimensions are 16"w x 18"h x 1/2". The evaporator has rails on the sides and a channel at the bottom to hold the filter in place. I have looked online and at Lowes and Home depot and no one has filters less than 1" thick(3/4"nominal). I'm wondering if these easiest thing to do would be to get filter media and cut it to fit. Can you tell me if filters are available for this unit or should I just cut some? Thanks.
