Strange request: Does anyone here have an old copy of ANSI B31.5 from 1974? I've got the (much) more current editions from 2000, 2006. But I've run into a situation where I need to know if the 1974 edition required schedule 80 pipe on carbon steel liquid lines 1-1/2" and smaller.

The relevant section in the 2000 and 2006 editions is 505.1.1 Additional Limitations for Carbon Steel Pipe. If anyone can dig out a similar section from the 1974 edition and answer this question, I'd appreciate it. I have found only one site online that sells it, and I don't want to go that route unless I have to.

Thanks

Am looking at a York ammonia piping manual that quotes ANSI B31.5 -1966 ..
"liquid lines 1-1/2" and smaller should be extra heavy".

Same basic line in 1962 & 1966. Prior to that: The 31.5 was amalgamated with the rest of pressure piping, formed a section of the B31.1
