Hi to all,

I have one doubt in Fan Coil Unit motor (carrier brand).
Can i change 1ph motor instead of 3 ph motor into FAN COIL UNIT? if we changed to 1phase motor, what will happen in future? any one have idea pls advise in this
case. bcos now we are going to install 1ph motor soon.

I hope Air flow only quite decrease....

If you put 1 phase motor of same power rating (or higher) and same rpm as 3 phase motor, nothing changes except motor torque. Since resistance to turning of fan motor increase with fan speed, that doesn't matter in this case. Only, you now have different current and you need to change fan contactor or relay (and fan protection if it is fitted, to suit new current draw).
