Is there anyone who know about advantages and disadvantages absorpton chiller compare with centrifugal chiller ?

Absorption chillers are generally only used where there is waste heat from another process available. Such as Tri/Co Generation plants, where there is waste heat from power generators. So you wouldn't use an absorption chiller for a hirise building unless it was generating its own power. I have seen absorption chillers in 2 hospitals, 1 was a 7.2 mW Trane.

Disadvantage points are Low COP,Higher Initial Cost,Bigger Footprint/Height/Weight,and Corrosive Absorbent. Advantageous points are Waste Heat Application,Small Power Consumption,Ozone Safe & CFC Free, and Low Noise & Vibration. President Obama might love this system with CHP for his Green Plan.

Centrifugal chillers are Electrical energy Motor driven where as Vapour Absorption uses Steam or direct fired source of heat energy.
Vapour absorption has low COP but considering the various inputs right from Power plant to end use it may work out economical.
Bureau of Energy Efficiency(BEE) of Government of India suggests vapour absorption machines are suggested only where surplus steam like Paper mills. Cogen power plants where steam or hot water is available for using in Vapour absorption machine.
