carrier 30 GK chiller

Hi,

I have chiller 30 gk (carrier) showing 17 fault alarm (cofiguration block fault). can some body help me to find out the problem?

17 fault alarm is the oil pressure probe error comp. B1

It seems that you need to check the controls configuration.

Assuming its the original RCPM board then its likely to be a faulty compressor protection module (RCPM). However check the LED'S are flashing Red which is power and Green which is the comms. If you have the controls book check the RCPM has the correct address (dip switches 1-8) see controls book for correct settings, if everything appears ok change board. You will need to set the dip switches on new board as per the old board, this then corresponds to the correct compressor.

I have checked the manual the DIP Switch position is correct and both LED,s Flashing. Both A1,B1 compressor's working A2,B2 is not running (code-217-cofiguration Block)

Code 217 only applies to A2 Compressor RCPM board being faulty .
You will need to probably change the RCPM board for that compressor. Don't know why B2 Compressor is not running.

In RCPM board there is MTA (8nos-DIP)
any changes of this switch will prevent the start the compressor? what will be the position of this.(30gk-100) 4nos compressor.

The dip switches must correspond to the those listed in the control manual for each compressor otherwise their is a loss of comms between RCPM and Master Board.
Have you checked dip switches againest what is in the controls manual ?
Should you have to change dip switch settings ensure you switch off mains power to chiller.

DIP Switchs are set as what mentioned
in control manual.(board adress).but MTA (DIP Switch)i don't find any settings in manual.
