Motorized Ball valve versus Globe valve for modulating application

Kindly let me know which type of Motorized valve is best for chilled water cooling coil modulation.Which Valve will have lower pressure drop and proportional motion, lower pressure drop across valve.
Ball valve appears to be most suited but I am not clear can any clarify preferably with supporting materias or write up

You need to check with the manufacturers as to what the pressure drops will be.

Valve construction/type are choosen for their application rather than for a particular pressure drop. If your wanting to modulate a flow does it matter what pressure drop is created after all that is what modualtion is about _ altering pressure to alter flow.
