In one of the site in Chennai(Madras) South India TRANE SCREW chiller model RTAA434 HA Air cooled screw water chillers operating on Refrigerant 22 and the screw compressors are provided with acoustic enclosure made of rubber material.
The above chiller burnt of completeley and no one is able to pinpoint the cause or reason for fire.
One reason could be solenoid valve short circuit and spark igniting the acoustic insulation materials. Kindly let me know what could be the reason so that we can take preventive measures for the remaining 12 chillers in the same site.
Has any one come across such accidents or this is one of the freak accident.
