Hi all,

Few days back on the shop floor higher capacity compressor of 540Btu/hr was by mistake assembled to some other model which was designed for compressor capacity of 282Btu/hr.

Rest all part of system were same as it was desingned for i.e. lower capacity model.

On running the refrigerators all strated tripping.
Please explain as to why it happened.

thks in advance

The 540Btu compressor needs a bigger condenser than the 282 Btu one. The discharge pressure would have been higher for the bigger compressor, increasing its ampere and tripping on its overload protector.
