Toshiba VRF fan control board problem

We have a site with 10 of these SHRM outdoor units. In 18 months we have had 3 of the little fan IPDU pcb which control the outdoor fan motor fail on a P22.

We are led to believe this is a known problem within Toshiba -has anyone else had further experience of this?

Hi,

I am not sure how relevant this may be, but Daikin had a problem a few years back blowing control fuses, the caused turned out to be holes in the condenser fan motor housing( design fault), I only got to the bottom of it because the call out was allways preceeded by a day of heavy rain, perhaps Tosh have got the same problem?

yes mate got a site with 8 mms types units over the last 3 years changed ipdu pcb and fan motors on all units 3 times ,even with upgraded pcb still unit goin down ,to top it off supply of pcb takes forever
