I need help with this chiller which has been driving me mad....I repaired all the leaks, new HP switch, then decided to change the oil, changed the drier.I charged 30kg of R22.Then when I tried to start it up to vapour charge the rest of the charge, the unit wouldn't start due to LP fault.I have checked all the basics, solenoid valve, tried to reset the fault but its not having it.I tried to link out the LP but I haven't got any diagrams or manuals...Well I have to admit I'm not familiar with this system...

I will appreciate your help I'm sure you chiller specialist will find this very basic.

Thank you very much for reading...

with this unit it could be low water flow through your evaporator, liquid line solenoid valve failure or blockage, suction filter also, a few things to check on this one. you should be able to check if the liquid is not getting through with your guage pressures on your liquid line and suction.
is it pumping down?

Brunstar well I actaully used the used the magnet to the solenoid valve, its got a new filter, as I was suspecting there is was no liquid flow but again it hasn't got a sight glass...suction pressure 5bar,hp about the same..

you can try to see if you can take the temperature before the liquid line and after it and this will let you know if it is opening too, try if there are ports, put one on each side of the liquid line valve.
If the valve is seized the magnet will not work.

Thank you everybody the problem was with the solenoid valve but now the same unit has transfomer problem giving me 370v output instead of 220v which is now holding but hopefully if I'm right it should be up and running tommorrow...I would appreciate if anybody is suggesting something different....But again its not showing any fault code.
