Is the indoor unit running? When it says check , does no error code come up after it?

The unit is locked out on a fault, you need to press the check button on the controller to interrogate.

You'll probably find a HP trip which would be shown as a 21 faultcode, if the indoor is part of VRF then a second fault code will be generated at the condenser, this should be recovered before killing power to the system as this is how you clear fault codes on Tosh VRF, to clear the fault code on this type of standard Toshiba split press and hold the check button for 15 seconds, "check" will stop flashing and the unit should then run, you can then find out why the fault was generated.

Hi Leety,

Davey is right 'check' flashing is caused by the generation of the '21' fault code.

On a split this is a high pressure trip - over 425psig. All you need to do to reset the system is press and hold the check button for 15sec.

On VRF the 21 code just indicates a safety device in the outdoor has tripped, so more investigation need out there.

You need a manual?? Talk to your Toshiba distributor they should have all the manuals you need and I think they're free.

Cheers

Yes very true all Toshiba Distributers have manuals and all have web sites you can check.
There are quite a few spread around in different areas of the country, i use Cool Solutions Distribution in Leeds and they are always willing to help out on the phone or send manuals etc if requested.
