Hi all
I have a site with 2 x R22 Fujitsu units to be removed and 2 new cassettes to be installed. The pipe work is run through walls, up risers and over a plastered ceiling so i was thinking of re using the existing pipe work and fitting either a Daikin, Mitsi Electric or Toshiba system which i know has their 'replace technology' to use existing pipe work.

I was wondering if anyone has any tips or recommendations for this install?. The pipe work sizes are the correct size for the new units and as far as i can tell at the survey there has not been any compressor failures.

Many thanks, Gareth

I can recomend the ME Mr Slim option.

It has the special filter which is used to flush & clean the system on first start up.
This is has the benifit of positively cleaning up all the system & removing all contamination oil or other contamination into the filter which is then isolated from the system.

This seem to me a better option than having a new system with some fancy oil which can operate with some oil mineral oil mix as this still leaves any other contamination to circulate & possibly cause futher damage down the line.

Just check with the manufacturer for the limitations on pipe length for the pipe size & unit size you need to make sure you are within the max pipe length for that combination.

The cassettes are a 7kw & a 10kw. Pipe work lengths are about 25 metres with a 3 metre rise so should be ok with all the manufacturers?
