Whirlpool wbm39LW beeps and red light flashes

hi i have fridge freezer mod WBM39LW(Whirlpool)the problem is the door open light flashes and beeps but the door is shut the fridge and freezer seem to be at temperature also i have just fitted a new compressor. i tried to speak with whirlpool but didnt want to help any info would be greatful

door oen sensor is faulty by the sound of it. this will stop the fridge workin.
