Hi All
Please Help me on this.
I want to collect data from a TRANE Chiller unit which works on LonTalk Protocol and convert it to modbus protocol.
Please suggest which converter shall I use and the necessary softwares?
(Iam using siemens S7-300 PLC as my main controller)

You could use these
Backnet
HLI
LLI
Tridium
Depends on what and how much info you want to communicate.
Tracer is usually used on trane chillers.
Best to contact your local trane dealer for detailed options and prices then do a price check from independant controls company. expect it to be expensive.

Trane have a PIC (protocol interface controller) which can be build into almost any Trane chiller and rooftop and will give you the data through ModBus.

It's about 15cm by 10 cm and can be build into the machine.

You'll have to get Trane to do it, any one else won't be able to get all the data!
