 hi RE,
i was thinking that there should be a page where companies can be named and shamed? As an self employed fridge/air con engineer, time to time you come across low life who dont have any intention of paying up for work that has been completed/commissioned ect.I have personally run into these such people on a couple of occasions and think people should be warned of the potential stich up that they might come up againts.Basically we could warn eachother of this scum. What ya think?

Public naming and shaming is not encouraged or allowed on here.

There are always 2 sides to any story and if both sides were to defend their actions on here, it would just end up in a slanging match.

Also, we don't want any lawsuits under the Libel laws

I mentioned this a few years ago and got no takers.
A little while later, a site businessorbandit.co.uk sprung up, run by a couple of A/C guys in the Blackburn area.
This has now been discontinued.............perhaps i should have a go.....

A little tip, that i may have been involved with in the past.............;)

Sneak out in the night, remove the outdoor pcb's, leave a message inside for next service engineer, telephone all the dealers with the serial numbers of the now defunct units. Hey presto, you have the last laugh........ except for the next muppet taking out the Tosh's and fitting the Chigo's at the back of you.

I am thinking about buying some wholesale water pipes from this company in China
but I am not sure if they are legal to bring in to the states? What are the laws on water pipes, bongs, and pipes?

Is this question relevant to Refrigeration? Are they refrigerant pipes?

Are you on the right forum?

The last company I worked for fitted about 10 split systems in a office, And after the job was finished they said they were not going to pay.
As I had worked as a locksmith for a short while ,I knew a few things.
Turned up early in the morning and pumped all the units down and removed all the condensors as they were all on the flat roof.
The customer phoned and said he was going to call the police, we said go for it we will just say we had never got round to fitting the outdoor units.
A few weeks later they phoned and paid in full, so we finished the job.
