Hi all.
was called out to fault on an airwell cd35 ducted unit today. first reclaimed gas, pressure tested and vacced system and recharged R22 to spec as sysyem was low. After all that, the same previous fault still there which was as follows:
In heating mode, system starts and compressor runs with decent pressures but then indoor fan drops out for a minute then back in for a minute. Originally thought unit was just in preheat mode but left it for hours still doing the same.Because the idoor fan is not runnng correctly it is creating eratic pressures in the system. Have diagosed a faulty in board PCB. Anyoe had any similar experience?

never worked on these units but could it be a faulty coil sensor?

thats because yore still a young one. come back when yore 50 and reconsider.
the possible problem can be ,there is to much air passing the coil so it become's to cold so the sensor is tripping, try to cover the side's of the fan,let it run again, see what happens then.

The unit is ducted with a plenum box attahed at the supply side and return air ducted onto the rear of the unit, so can't see that air is passing. Also return air is around 20 Celsius. Fan runs in heat mode and has good air off around 33 celsius but appears to be stuck in preheat cycle as fan dropping in and out for a minute at a time.
