Hi,

I'm trying to find someone that can install a Samsung Vivace air con unit in the Uxbridge Middlesex area.
Do I need a qualified Samsung engineer or can a gernal air con engineer do it ?
Apologies in advance, my knowledge in this area is not good.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Marvin.

Call Samsung and get some names of authorized installers in your area.

Why Samsung? from the grape vine i understand there has been a number of issues with the Vivace, from a national supplier! if its style you are looking for LG artcool range have been proven and bugs worked out, i would consider it before the samsung.

as far as an installer there are a lot of "man in van" that can bang it in but check credentials first.

Best of luck!

I already have the Samsung units, I got them a few months ago. At that time I was swayed to the Samsung's since I was told LG's had a few problems.
Anyway I can't change that now :)

I have tried contacting Samsung, I dropped them a mail but got no response, I will try and call them if I can find a number.

Thanks,

Marvin

To my knowledge in the UK Samsung only sell a/c equipment to sepecialist a/c distributors. They do not sell direct to a/c contractors or endusers.

So Samsung like most manufacturers are very busy dealing with enquiries from their distrubuton network & will most likely forward your enquiry on to one of the distributors.

The distributors are only interested in selling equipment to a/c contractors.

As you already have the equipment you are basically out of the loop & on your own.

A/C contractors can only turn in an acceptable profit for installing a/c systems like this by making a markup on reselling the a/c units to the enduser. But they will provide some warrantee for the installation as they will be able to claim parts & small labour allowance from the distributor if there is any problem with the equipment.
So most contractors will not be interested in carrying out a one off installation on a labour + materials basis.

The only contractors who are likely to assist you are the ' maninavan ' self employed a/c installation engineers. But as they did not supply the equipment will not be able to provide you with any warrantee &
they will need full payment on completion.

If the equipment was obtained from an ebay Arthur Daily who got it wholesale from ??? then you most likely will have no link back to the distrubutor who holds responsibilty for the warrantee.

Sorry for the delay in replying, I haven't had access for a little while. As soon as I can figure out how to contact you I will :), I can't send you a private message and when I try to download a vcard it tries to open my outlook which crashes :)

Please check out their V Card. It will give an e mail address if they want it to be seen - not if hidden.
