Anyone know of a decent brand 6kw wall split with 1/4" x 5/8" lines?
I've got a NEC RSH21 that I need to replace. The pipes go through walls and ceilings.
So I'm trying to find a split with the same size pipes.

Thanks all, I'll look into the MHI srk63

I'm sure that Fujitsu's current 6/7kW wall mounts have that size pipe as well.

Didn't check earlier this year and slat 3/8 on the Van as usual!

Not that I know of, and I know fuji pretty well. That's the purpose of this post, because none of the units I know very well offer this pipe size arrangement.
Fuji don't even have a 6 kw unit, just the 18s (5kw) and the 24s (7kw). Even their 5kw xxx18s have 3/8 x 1/2.

Just looked it up on the commissioning sheet.

It was indeed a ASYA24LCC Inverter Heat pump.

5/8 & 1/4 pipe sizes.

Hera ya go!

You're right!
I looked at the 18 as a likely contender and that's 3/8 x 1/2, so I didn't look at the 24 as a possibility.
But the ast24ldc is 1/4 x 5/8. I can't believe it's only been a year since I dealt with them but forgot already that they 24s had those pipe sizes. My only excuse is that now I repair older models which are only 3/8 x 5/8.

Thanks for mentioning that though as I have a lot more places available to get a fuji over a MHI. At least it's another option if the only single MHI distributor in town charges too much or has no stock.

Hi Paul, dunno if it makes a difference but this is English stock so whether it's the same in Ausi I don't know.

Also I'd rate the Fuji on par with MHI stuff but obviously below that of Mitsi-Electric gear. :)

Yeah I checked the fujitsu-general.com.au site and the asta24ldc before I replied, and it is 1/4 x 5/8" here in their specs.
I've got good experience with fuji, so that's no problems :D
The reason why I was after a name brand such as mitsi or fuji is that some other person has to deal will warranty down here, as I've posted about before. If I was to install lennox or some no name brand, it would be my problem. So with a fuji, pana or mits electric, as long as it works when I put it in, not my problem anymore. Great hey? After 4 years of being on the recieving side of being that repairer fixing anything under warranty for 5 years, I'm picky on what brands I install, which is the ones I don't ever have to come back too ;)

That fujitsu is probably the better way to go, if you can get one, from memory it is smaller than the MHI- indoor and outdoor. The outdoor unit is very compact and eerily quiet, possibly the quietest inverter condenser I have ever installed.

On what base?
Look, number of service calls, technical difference or your familiarity with certain brand?

Pana
CS/CU-W24EKR
CS/CU-E24HKR
CS/CU-RE24HKR
All are 1/4 5/8
R410a and about 7Kw or more
Is it power to the outdoor or indoor?

The outdoor has an isolator right next to it, so it doesn't really matter, either unit can be wired to the isolator easy enough, but I'm sure the conduit from the isolator went to the outdoor unit.

So the plot thickens :D
I just phoned up my local whitegoods place and got a price for the fuji and pana. Both brands I used to do warranty for, and both were $1600. I'll go into the store and buy whichever has the smallest I/U, as it's in a recessed area

btw, MHI got back to me with a $1350 +10% GST price tag, but I didn't check my email before giving the customer fuji/pana options. I'll definitely look at MHI pricing (and wait longer) next time though.

OK thanks.
You know what breaks on fujitsus?

All the stuff with a mitsubishi badge on it. ie IPM, compressor etc.
I wonder if fuji is using the same components as MHI or ME?
If it's the same as ME, then ME can't be any better than fujitsu :D
Thanks for you help, no critique intended, just thinking out loud.

Paul, some times ago, Fujitsu has used microprocessors and control architecture from Mitsubishi, but these days it is a all their technology.
These days, they have their own compressors (inverters or regular) , their know how, their microprocessors.
Who is better here, time and users will tell us.

Yeah, I just remember all the blown IPMs (which were mits chips) and locked compressors in the PMAL that I had to change. (not both faults on one unit that would explain the failure, one or the other.

Isn't Mitsi Heavy Indistries just old Mitsi Electric kit?

What is your foundation for such question? Of course that they share some of technology. But, you should study more about how big is Mitsubishi as a concern.;)
